The sensational ConChord Big Band
returns to Chequer Mead with an entertaining programme
from their wide and ever expanding repertoire. Under
the guidance of their Musical Director Martin Forward,
the band plays music ranging from big band classics,
swing, ballads and show songs through to popular
music and its wide repertoire has attracted an ever-growing
number of fans. The full band line up is 5 saxes,
4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, guitar, bass, drums
together with synthesised strings and vocalists
Pam Dabell, Katrina Clark and Nigel Tostevin.
The concert includes tributes to not only the great
performers of yesteryear but also those of today.
